@kaia tell your mom to enable Port forwarding on her router for port 25 on the device, then tell her to send you the it's public ip adress :troll: If that doesn't work tell her to make sure the ipv6 suffix/interface id of the device is the same on the public ipv6 as in the port forward :troll: Then all that's left to do is to configure ssh to only accept public/private key authentication to prevent brute-force attacks :troll:

@kaia wireguard. you can set it up on a server with a static ip address. i did use it some time to access stuff at home remotely without paying horrendous fees for a static ip address.with wireguard ur mums pc, ur pc and the server act like they are in one local network

@kaiaThere is rustdesk but afaik it isn't secure unless you host it yourself. There is also anydesk, it is free for personal use and extremely easy to use, but it is proprietary

@kaia Teamviewer itself is available for Linux. Then there's Anydesk as well as Gnome Connections.

@kaia TeamViewer. Or Google Remote Desktop (or however it’s called). AnyDesk works on Linux too if I’m not mistaken. Also you could just use a RDP or VNC server, but that’s a pain to set up.
