       @ruud turning off prepared statements sounds like a performance hazard. What's the logic for doing this? (because they're on by default, right?)

       @cambraca It’s not always done because of performance. Sometimes prepared statements are used because it’s ‘the thing too do’But anyway, at this moment there are 1000 connections to the database, which also isn’t good for performance. And to grow further, we need more connections, so we need connection pooling. And pooling on transaction level is incompatible with prepared statements.

       @ruud Those are TCP connections? Or UNIX sockets? I've never deployed something in this scale, but it looks quite challenging...
