       The ones that really tickle me are the people who claim they can't figure out how to sign up for an account.There is literally an account sign-up form on the front page of literally EVERY Mastodon instance. You would have to deliberately and intentionally CHOOSE not to see it to have any difficulty figuring this out.And then there's the ones who act like it's an inconvenience to even have to sign up for an account. To an online service. Like, what the fuck have you been doing?

       If you have this much difficulty figuring out how to use Internet services, maybe you shouldn't be using them. If you're so irresponsible with technology that you will deliberately and intentionally avoid reading the instructions for something before declaring it impossible to use, then just don't use it. Clearly your life was better off without it. I'm sure the world will figure out how to survive without photographs of your fucking breakfast every morning.

       and before anyone gives me shit for being unfriendly to users for having the audacity to suggest that people who will angrily kick up a fuss for not understanding how to use something after rejecting every attempt to teach them how to use it outright, bear in mind that these are the kind of people who introduce security vulnerabilities by not protecting their passwords, answering scam e-mails, and simply expecting the admins to protect them on their behalf.

       @swashberry I think it would be great if you have to multiply some binary values and output them as a decimal number to sign up. Something like that.

       @swashberry To be fair, if the concept of there being multiple instances confuses them they probably never managed to sign up for an email to get scammed on in the first place.
