       Seriously @Gargron , we need a way to explore remote timelines without having to create an account on another server.A link we can paste in the search bar that shows us that server "remote timeline".Like, I'm having a look in mastodonapp.uk with a newer account that accepts no requests and just boosts to my actual account to interact with the toots. What a waste. Not far from a bot account really.

       @maikelthedev @Gargron @maikelthedev @Gargron just to be the unofficial spokesperson of non-mastodon software, what you're describing there does sort of already exist in Akkoma via "Bubbles" - an admin has to add "friendly" instances that can be browsed thoughalso, I have tried it out and there does seem to be some rate limiting issues with it, the feed just got stuck on "6 days ago"but it sort of demonstrates why this shouldn't really happen - a remote instance could effectively be ddos'ed by non-local accounts, and we don't want that
