Would it be best to put a desktop computer on top of a standup desk, or on the floor below it?Guess it would better for cable management to have it on top, since the desk can move up and down. But that would take quite a bit of desk space :bunThink:

@esheep I've seen several computers fall off standing desks over the last few weeks. Personally I would just stick it on the floor and get longer cables.

@automaticorange I'm just afraid for my speakers. The cables are already getting wonky and of course they're not user replaceable :bunGoogly:

@esheep@raru.re they have these attachments that you can bolt onto the bottom of a desk to keep a computer off the floor...

@automaticorange So having them move up and down all the time would probably put too much stress on them :blobcatNotLikeThis:

@esheepTopWon't kick or bump it, less likely to accumulate dust and pet hair at the same rate

@esheep that is a good point. In that case look into an under desk mount for the computer tower. Monoprice might have something.

@esheep When I had a standing desk I put the tower on the top to avoid cable shenanigans. Hated losing the real estate but that was preferable to "whoops, somehow something got tangled and now that port on the compy is janked."
