The 'login-wall' or whatever it's called that Twitter now also used is so childish af. I expected nothing less from platforms like Facebook but also Twitter has gone down that road. They really try to get you signed up in any way possible yikes. Little note! @stux bookmarked. They used to let you do a little scrolling before you hit that, but now I can’t see a thing. Truly a shame. Hopefully the people I care about come over here soon enough so I can just forget the bird site exists

@stux Why do you all still bother with those platforms? Literally everything old is available in federated versions without censorship,with an enormously diverse set of instances. And yet people here still have the energy to complain about the old sites. They should be dead by now, but people still cling to them for some reason.

@stux Until I discovered Nitter, I used a bypass login wall extension. It sucks that sometimes NASA pictures take forever to be released outside of their twitter accounts.

@stux Twitter's login-wall is really nasty too. I've noticed you can "bypass" it by scrolling fast past a certain point in some tweet threads or profiles.So much of Twitter is used for NEWS ARTICLES these days too. Modern news sites just embed tweets and use plain text fallback for when they're eventually deleted.I'm sure the Edit button will make this much better /s
