An entire "cottage industry" shifted last night with Trump's announcement. I can't help but think the air was let out of theories having to do with what might be going on behind the scenes:Trump returning early, Trump in exile, the military being the only answer. I wonder if the voices i've listened to over the last couple of years will see a drop in their streaming and Substack numbers. I'm still grateful to them, they were my security blanket during rough times. They gave me hope that something might be afoot that would save us. We will all have to adjust our thinking, or at least I will. If we needed God before, we will really need him now. That has to be a good realization. We will adapt.

It has encouraged passivity by perpetuating the idea that there is a grand plan and a person or people that will fix everything. We can't fix a problem unless we see how bad it really is. Small actions on the part of many people can have a ripple effect, how many of those actions were not taken because people believed an imminent rescue was in the works?

He outed the corruption in congress, the courts, the FBI and DOJ. He made obvious much that was not. The elections are rigged, and even if they weren't, the Right never restore things; they only partially slow the descent into chaos, violence, humiliation, and lost heritage.

@victor Wow. I bet you're a lot of fun at parties. I don't disagree with you in that the cavalry isn't coming, and that the Right currently in leadership positions won't restore things because I believe they are in on it. I reserve my condemnation of how the vax was handled until we know more - probably in the year 2075. I believe the left's approach would have ended worse. Good talk.

Mount Airy, which is Andy Griffith's hometown (and which he always denied was the model for Mayberry), is a very, very lovely town, full of sweet people who are always very kind to us. So, it will always be Mayberry to us. (And a whole bunch of other folks!)

BTW, did you know (I sure didn't) that the pole dates back to when barbers started to offer blood letting services? They gave patients a pole to grab to make the veins stick out.To stop the bleeding, they tied it off with a white cloth which they hung outside their shop as advertising. The blue represented the color of the vein.That's what I once read, anyway
