@Debradelai @BrendaJean @Dawnz No, my comment was directed at politicians who have it both ways. They explain off unemployment caused by the use of robots. We have upwards of 50 in operation. Then the politician wants amnesty because we have a shortage of workers. This we have filled on a rotation of contract workers. What the contracted companies requirements are I have no clue, but must at a minimum have a work visa. They paint the card they want to play to fit their sort comings.

There seems to be a lot of crossover between traditional Norwegian and German foods. We also had head cheese - and pickled pigs’ feet! They’d hire out a butcher to come to the farm to slaughter. Payment was usually on a barter basis — and they cut beef right in the barn. The carcass never touched the ground. Mom told me she wasn’t a fan of post-slaughter meals because they usually consisted of organ meats (more perishable).
