       I am username blind.When you change your profile picture you change your face and I have no clue who you are anymore. Our interaction all become that "who is this person talking like they know me in the soup aisle of the grocery. I'll just be super polite until context clues."Not saying this is a wrong thing, just a thing.Consequently, one thing consistent from masto to birbsite is @thegibson and @LambdaCalculus are the same person.

       Similarly, if you change your physical face dramatically, I don't care how prominent your name tag is, I will not recognize you IRL. (weird i know)....Also, I won't have remembered your name for at least the first 6 times we meet anyway. Hell, I barely remember MY name. Names are weird. WTF does a mountain or a breeze or a whimsy need a name for.
