       seeing a certain discussion pop up on my Tl again so instead of boosting 50 billion posts, i’m gonna make a thread about it! yay!if you as someone not in a marginalized community think ppl IN a marginalized community should HAVE to CW posts talking about violence and harassment against their community, you are at least overstepping boundaries and at most participating in targeted harassment yourself.You do not have a say in how we talk about our experiences. We CW it for us, not you.

       For context, I am trans :trans:. In my next class, I have to work with people who use he/him pronouns for me despite me having a girl’s name and long hair and a trans flag sticker on my laptop and yada yada. Usually, if I made a post about something that, I’d CW it with “transphobia”. Sometimes, I don’t wanna be bombarded with more reasons why the world sucks, and I’m sure other trans ppl feel the same way. So, I do that so other trans ppl can choose whether they want to engage with my vent.
