       I was just called "racist" on mastodon because I disagreed with someone. Please don't do this folks. Distorting the meaning of racism only hurts the most vulnerable who actually do live under the harmful reality of discrimination.

       @aaronpettman Two papers come to mindThere is enough genetic variety for humans to have at least 4 subspecies at this point.https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mehy.2009.07.046This genetic variety is cleanly separable into clusters.https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ygeno.2010.07.004And there is plenty of data on how people from different groups act differently, and it used to calculate basic stuff like car insurance premiums. The last paper is interesting, because these categories are learnable without supervision. This means that assuming races cannot exist is just ignoring reality. The ability to discriminate is the ability act on categorical reasoning.
