@Raspberry_Pi Tell me you didn't spin up your own instance just so you can have a raspberry emoji.

@rpilocator @Raspberry_Pi I thought they had stopped. Tried to get a pi 4 8gb a few times and they do not seem to be made anymore. The few that are on sale are hugely inflated price wise

@Raspberry_Pi @rpilocator @GamingDaveUK I got the 1GB version for a fairly normal price, recently. But better :raspberrypi: models are hard to find.

@darth @Raspberry_Pi @rpilocator Currently using a pine64, the fact that RaspberryPi is active on here (assuming it is them) is a good sign, maybe they are starting up again (wishful thinking perhaps)

@Raspberry_Pi @rpilocator @GamingDaveUK for all intents and purposes it is genuinely enough that everyone can verify themselves as an owner of their webpage.

@darth @Raspberry_Pi @rpilocator Was able to verify my github profile so I now have a greentick..... though most of my recent code is all private lol

@GamingDaveUK @darth Psst... if I selfhost, I can change the code to show whatever I want for the 'verified' status. A bit harder if you outsource to a vendor to host your instance, but if I run things locally, I can adjust to show a green tickmark without being in relation to anything.Having said that... I control this domain, I control the email address, and there's a bunch of people who signed my GPG key during a keysigning party at FOSDEM. So you can likely trust that enough people checked my passport that if I am able to read your message sent to and encrypted to a vucica.net address -- then I can probably be trusted to be a real person controlling that email address. And since it's the same as my web host + the same as my fediverse address... then you're reasonably sure that it's me even if I can modify Pleroma (or Mastodon) source code to show 'verified' with any website, really. :-)@Raspberry_Pi @rpilocator
