       The longer I’m on Mastodon, the more I appreciate Content Warnings! Reading posts w/o #CW only to find out I could have kept scrolling is not a better experience

       The use of CW comes down to the type of user experience that you want to create for those that follow you. You have the discretion to use it or not in however manner you like, and others have the option to follow or unfollow you based on that discretion. Pretty cool!

       I do find it interesting though that those who enjoy, use, and support CW are mostly BIPOC and LGBTQI+ community while the push back that I’ve seen against CW or have questioned it’s validity have all come from cis white men. That’s my observation though, and I’m curious if others have observed or feel differently.

       @sienna maybe it’s my feed, but I’m not seeing that *at all*. In fact there’s a huge group of BIPOC that are livid at being told to hide their lives experiences with racism behind CWs, typically by white people. I’ve seen at least three very detailed discussions about this by BIPOC posters today alone. In fact, it’s such a big issue for them that I’m seeing journalists on the platform taking note of the problem.
