       Long COVID is not fake, or a scam. Any virus can cause long term or permanent "post viral illness".  It's an extremely well established and researched outcome. Acting like Coronaviruses somehow never result in that is ridiculous.  I've never fully recovered from the shingles I had almost 8 years ago.  I deal with the symptoms every single day.

       @sobr I do believe the contention of many is not that it's fake, or a scam, but rather that it's misnamed. Bad branding, and such.

       @CoffeeFingers That's a fair discussion to have.  Alex Berenson's contention though, is that it's a "rich, white woman's disease" which is what was said about ME/CFS for 30 years before it was demonstrably proven with testing.  He might be right on some things, but on that topic, he's out of his lane and 100% full of shit.

       @professortom The lesions and pain resolved in 2 weeks.  80% of the other symptoms are still here today.  If I knew why, both I and thousands of others who suffer from latent Varicella Zoster induced disorders would be joyous.

       @CapitalB The prevalence rate of longer term, severe post-viral syndrome is typically less than 0.5%, so you can easily not know anyone who suffers from it.        @sobr I know a lot who were like flattemed by a steam roller and took about a month to completely be repaired. But not anybody with weird symptoms. Otoh about a handful of vaxees have a several month long (!) cough.
