@killyourfm it’s possible to recalibrate your time perception. So I get that our thinkmeats use a relativistic measure in as much as we perceive a year to be less time as we age as it’s a smaller percentage of the time we have been alive. But focus on an event in the last 6 to 24 months, then think about all the big and little thing that happened since then and suddenly that will seem like SO long ago. Never mind hack the planet, hack the thinkmeat!

@wiredfire Time seems to stretch back and forth like a rubber band since COVID happened. So, I appreciate your idea and I'm going to make a concerted effort to implement it. For now, a good reference point is probably when I started working for @thunderbird in May of this year. OK, let's go...

@killyourfm It's something to do with new experiences I believe. Time speeds up when you're not learning or experiencing anything new (apparently). Good excuse to travel!

@killyourfm it is shocking isn't it!I think the % of your life arguments works well. Age 10 to 15 is 50% of your life again.Age 30 to 40 is 33%, 40 to 50 is 25%, etc.

@edphones Yea, we really should. I think we got stuck into this new habit of just isolating and avoiding people, and we haven't broken out of it. Between 2017 and 2020, my wife and I visited probalby 9 different countries and various destinations for concerts. Before 2016 I had been to ONE other country for my entire existence. Missing it.

@killyourfm this is the main reason I go to work. It helps massively slow down time.That and the money helps feed my addiction to food, have to eat every day or I get withdrawn.
