       @lamp@mastodong.lol 3 is better, taking up space with a menubar in the X axis isn't good on a narrow screen like a phone. i guess the only benefit is being able to access more things without menu diving but it doesn't seem worth italthough fwiw i have not actually used either of them, just going off the screenshots

       @natalie yeah the sidebar looks cool but i dont need quick access to all those options all the time so i dont think it's worth sacrificing the precious horizontal real-estate. top-bar was much more practical, showing only the buttons i regularly need and using the much-cheaper vertical estate. also notice the new location of the new-post button :P

       @natalie vertical sidebars with little icons seems to be the new design trend; i see it in windows 11 too
