@stux I’m in the “still using” camp, but I’ve been mostly a reader for years.The main thing I’m doing now is watching the transition. The active middle of Twitter (think a few thousand to 200,000 followers) that I follow has largely moved, @SwiftOnSecurity , & @LibyaLiberty are prime examples.This is hollowing out 🐦, as accounts like those are load-bearing infrastructure.

@stux I, uh, locked myself out of it. With 2FA, yes. But not recently; years ago when I changed phone numbers and forgot to update the account first. Didn’t care enough to go prove my identity to Twitter support, then or now.

@stux My account was suspended permanently. Started in 2018, kicking into full use since 2019, only to be kicked in 2021 :ablobcatkeyboardbreak: It's more like a slow death - followers couldn't see my Tweets, which was proved by me opening another account with a different email. Both got suspended. I never know why though - retweeting too many politicians (as part of HK protest tactics) and deemed a bot, or RTed politicians who voiced out for HK, but later involved in Jan 6th? Who knows.
