NAS drywalling peeps...I need help. I scraped my ceiling, respackled the studs using joint compound and let dry for 24 hours. Sanded then went to put on first coat if ceiling paint today. I am highly frustrated because in parts of the ceiling the ceiling paint is peeling away the drywall compound. It's not huge chunks and I can usually press it back. What have I done wrong or do I just need to wait a few days for everything to dry out more and do a second coat of ceiling paint? Help!

@Foneguy89 @TheCM you'll prolly need a scraper scrape the crap out of all the peeling pieces .. sand down the border between pain to try to level it .. if you cannot spakle and prime the edge then pain it

@TheCM looks wet. 1 day is not enough IMO. Multiple thin coats of sparkle always do better than one thick one

@pjd3 @TheCM @Dave Oof... scraping ceilings is never fun, but good job working on this.We normally prime the ceilings, sand the primer, then apply the ceiling paint. So that could be part of the problem. I'll ask my dad about this to see if he has any more advice. Good luck!

@just_julia @pjd3 @Dave Thanks ya'll! I went ahead and sanded the chipped places this am and then spackled. I will sand tomorrow, wipe the dust (which was my problem last time) then repaint. I think it will look great. Thanks for all the help! I will take any advice! I still have the walls to finish too.
