@branman65 @NathanielHigger1488 Reformed Baptist refers a one who simultaneously uphold baptist beliefs (baptism must only follow confession of faith and must immersive, government of individual churches is independent of any overarching hierarchy) as well as upholding Calvinism.Southern Baptist refers to a church being a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, which is more like a support network for Baptist churches in the Southern United States rather than a full ecclesiastical government like a Lutheran synod, Presbyterian presbyter, or Rome's complicated hierarchy.Being Reformed Baptist and being in the SBC are not mutually exclusive labels because one is doctrinal while the other organizational. Most churches in the SBC uphold Arminian or some non-Reformed doctrines, but some do uphold Reformed beliefs. Because they are not exclusive, I prefer using the term Reformed Baptist rather than Southern Baptist.
