From the first moment I heard about Facebook's new name 'Meta' and 'Metaverse' I can't stop associating with some kind of meta data hog or something :thinktink: I mean Suck-a-berg eats private data for breakfast and now even the company is called after their ultimate collection goal :mortyderp: :meeseeksscream:

@stux I associate it with the meaning of meta in metaphysics: losing connection with the physical reality and going completely digital. Sometimes you hear people talk about digitalizing your personality and uploading it in the cloud. That kind of horror!

@stux I hate that cuckerberg gets to call his Second Life clone a "metaverse". Like I can think of at least 5 online games that are more of a metaverse than the zuckerverse.
