Surely you meant "attackers" or "cybercriminals".Hackers are a community of creative people, using technology in non-standard ways.Using the term "hacker" to mean "cybercriminal" hurts that community, and makes it easier it ignore its warnings (for example) about failures of technology  — making everyone less safe:https://rys.io/en/155.html

       mainly because of a demonizing campaign run in mainstream media.  fake news needs to be disputed, not sheepishly accepted or reinforced in detriment of the victims.
