Considering the Y chromosome is currently being linked to many disease differentials as per https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-71447-3 ,it's got a bit more of a lasting impact to the physique of people who carry it, as the genetic encoding it provides does more than merely set up gonads, this is done by the SRY gene which is one of 55 genes present in the Y chromosome.While one could say "well, the X chromosome carries 18 times that so it follows that men and women are not quite that different", it bears repeating that a single genetic instruction carries enough impact for wheter a fetus will develop male or female genitalia, so much so that even in a genetic male, should the SRY gene be damaged or missing for some reason, the embryo will then develop female genitalia while still carrying the XY chromosome.As such, those 55 instructions do carry enough of a difference to the point it can even affect how hormones would impact development of secondary sex characteristics (ever wonder why trans women hardly ever develop natural breasts? this is why), so it would do the you and the medical community well not to downplay its role in your bodies, as, at the very least, it could help certain diseases from further developing due to genetic differences.Edited Addendum : There's also barely any research done in how much of an impact the Y chromosome carries, imagine this disease thingmajing I linked is fairly recent and it should tell you that our knowledge about this is still incredibly limited, as science has to play catch to what nature has made, being it is a process, and not an institution as many believe.
