@NitroDubs A big reason for the talking head format is that several years ago YouTube realized the alt-right was making money without doxing themselves, so they began to demonetize “disembodied voice” creators as a general rule. Obviously that’s no issue if you just want to talk about LED bulbs or some shit.

@NitroDubs A lot of the vids on the left existed pre youtube, I remember watching Badgers and All your base on ebaumsworld in high school. Tbf there's still a lot of irreverent meme humor going viral on YT that harkens back to those days, but it doesn't have the shelf life of drama hamster because the intended zoomer audience has the attention span of a goldfish.
