@SDF What mainboard is that? Looks like an old X8DA3 from Supermicro. But why not using the on board SATA ports?

@jdd We had resources here that were idle, including a new 60TB raid. We're incorporating the idle machines to see how well #mastodon works distributed across a backend network. Still got some more optimizations to work out. It will get better!

@SDF I am curious the specs that run mastodon like if it's arm or amd or intel. Or how powerful mastodon can get. I wonder if Freebsd or Linux would be better for running a mastodon instance. Because it's decentralized.

Should I also be seeing posts from accounts I follow on other servers?Also, it seems it's taking a really long time for accounts to accept my follow, and also show up on my followers list.
