I said this on Twitter for those who are wondering about the endgame for that platform and I have some thoughts:Twitter won’t die. The people who financed Elon, namely the Saudis and Russian oligarchs, will “agree” to take Twitter off of Musk’s hands. After that, Twitter will become a megaphone for the worst authoritarians on earth. It won’t have to make a dime because it will be a valuable tool for brainwashing the west. That’s my prediction, anyway, and I’d rather be wrong. Time will tell.

@doctorobvious Works better if they just do it while he still has ownership. And here all I thought he wanted to do was to be able to manipulate stock prices in real time.

@Ricardus I don't think Musk had a plan. His ego caused him to assume he'd just come up with some magic solution. But he has one billion dollars a year in interest payments now and Twitter is hemmoraging money. So basically those creditors already own Twitter in most ways but name.

@doctorobvious He may not hav had it all figured out but I wasn't kidding. I think he bought twitter to be able to post things, and have friends who matter post things about stocks and the economy, to manipulate the market.

@doctorobvious And since rich people can kill people on 5th avenue in this country and suffer no consequences, the FTC will do nothing if and when it happens.
