Gentle reminder of the day:Just because you switched from one social platform to another does not make you a refugee.Some people flee from war-torn countries wth nothing but the clothes on their backs, and risk life and limb to reach (relative) safety, all the while being treated like dirt.You are NOT a refugee if you just left Twitter for Mastodon. First world problem and all that.

@ParadeGrotesque I'm not one of them, but that is how people feel. So I think it's valid. We know what they mean, and what they don't mean. And I think most people who are using the phrase understand that they aren't refugees of war.
