:thinktink: The main server is currently doing so much better than a few days ago while more people are active :blobcatgiggle: And to be honest, I'm not sure why.. I don't complain but I like reasons for stuff happeningAlmost always I chose 'from source' installations for software and build it myself so it gives me a better understanding of what's happening under the hoodI feel like setting up automation later is much easier when understanding the process but hey, that's just me :rickhey:

@stux Same here, even though the user base here has grown consistently, the server seems to cope with it a lot better than before.OK OK, I did switch to multiprocess Sidekiq yesterday and that helps a ton.But users seem to be posting less today, innit ?By the way: would you happen to have (and be willing to share) some tips or cookbooks on how to scale Mastodon to a multiserver setup ?

@stux Thanks for looking after the server. Sometimes tech is just weird. Sometimes it works fine. Other times not. I remember doing the 3rd part of my Cisco instructor training. During the practical exam, I just couldn't get the routers talking to one another. I couldn't see any errors, config was correct, so I was about to give up and fail. I decided to just reboot everything. I didn't change anything else. They rebooted and all of the interfaces came up, I tested the network-it all worked fine

@stux Thanks for keeping things chuggin’ along! It has seemed pretty good to me since I’ve joined recently, knowing how much activity has been added to the servers. Definitely helps to know a little bit about what’s going on under the hood!

@stux Same here too. There is no need to do fancy stuff right now when you userbase is rather small like in my case atm. But I'm thinking of scaling it better and making things more redundant and performant in the future when I have more user. I'm also interested on how you can effectively scale a Mastodon setup
