       @tek I don’t know — what advantage does that provide? (I’m assuming almost all devices on the private network are card machines, and probably respond to pings)

       @tek It’ll be for easy matching physical/software pairs — probably has an http admin interface on that IP for changing the settings for that physical handset. And I’d be surprised if it’s the WiFi IP — it’s probably a virtual network IP.
