       @entreprecariat what happens when the 'other' disappears? it seems likely within a relatively short amount of time that it will go away completely or change so drastically that the relationship you're describing will kind of cease ...

       @emenel no idea honestly, but it's true that things are changing quickly and drastically. What I hope to preserve is the sense of big ocean vs small pond that Mastodon for me was providing
