Vandaag contact gehad met de hoofd redacteur van New York Times over hun aanwezigheid op Mastodon en ze hebben het bot account overgenomen! 💪 Momenteel gaan ze intern nog overleggen of ze deelnemen aan de Fediverse, maar het begin is er!Ook werd ik gisteren benaderd door Richard Branson hier op Mastodon voor verificatie echter ben ik er niet zeker van of hij dit echt is.. It's not sure yet they're gonna join the Fediverse but it's a nice start!❤️I also got contacted by Richard Branson here on Mastodon only I'm not sure it's really him :blobcatgiggle: It did looked like it since he asked how verification worked on hereFunny how things can change within a week!

@stux You’re just doing the verification for Twitter blue checks + people with a certain number of followers, right? Not a general “the actual human name that’s being used here is verified to belong to the person who controls the account”? Some kind of ability for the common man to verify their identity is something I thought Twitter should have for a long time, in order to increase trust of non-famous accounts.
