The spike from the recent innflux of twitter users is so enourmous it has completely distorted the users graph. You cant evenn read the numbers any more and the daily user graph spiked past the total user graph.Wow.. ok then.QT: https://qoto.org/@users/109325078038092501

@freemo it's pretty nice that qoto holds up so well :) haven't had any big issues, i think i got a one-off 500 error yesterday.

@bonifartius Network I need to find some stats for that.. in terms of jobs, we went from 1.5 million jobs per day to 7.7 million jobs... so id expect network traffic to be somewhere in the same ballpark

Anyway, i greatly appreciate that the most free speech instance i could find and chose has beefy servers. @freemo Will be curious to see how it dies back down. My longtime mastodon using friend is convinced most of the tweeps will sort into their own servers that keep up the culture and posting habits of twitter, rather than truly acclimate to existing servers. I think tweeps could definitely benefit from laying off the outrage reactionary pedal a bit, but at the same time it's been eye opening to see marginalized cross-overs point to problems in mastodon that are hard to see from the inside.

@lucifargundam funnels but with holes that let you jump between funnels kinda, but sometimes the owners of those funnels will close up the holes so you'd have to clone yourself to also go into those funnels to communicate with others in that funnel, lol. IDK Mastodon still confuses the hell out of me in a lot of ways, but it seems so far like it's worth it to keep trying to figure it out.
