       Friends, Romans, Countrymen; lend me your ear!Wait. That’s the wrong speech.Hello. I thought I’d put forth a little introduction. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve last done one of these.I’m a #GenX #InfoSec analyst and work in critical infrastructure. I manage my Company’s #PKI and vulnerability management (#VulnMgmt) programs. Kind of a weird combination, but it works.I’ve been into #computers since 1978 and have had one type of computer or another consistently since then. Of course, back in the 1970s and 1980s computers were nowhere near what they are today but I enjoyed #programming and using my computer to solve real world problems.Today I’m interested in #writing, #scifi, discovering new music from around the World in languages other than English, #p2p networking, darknets (the legal kind, I have no desire to get into anything illegal), #travel and #history #documentaries, #SocialJustice, #CivilRights and #CivilLiberties, #traveling, and more.I’m a huge I’m also an INTJ.I’m going to be retiring from my job later on this year. Not retiring from working, just retiring from my Company. Truth be told I’m burnt-out. Been doing the same thing now for over 16 years and have been in IT in one shape or form now for 30 years.My passion is #writing, so my big life goal is to sell my house, buy an #RV, live in it full-time while I #travel the US, and Anyhow, that’s me.If you’ve just come over from #Twitter then welcome.Just remember that the #Fediverse is much more than #Mastodon and so much better, too. #introduction

       @gme Hi 👋🏻 thanks for the welcome, and introduction.  And welcome to the next chapter of YOUR journey - whether it’s retirement or some other gig. I wrote requirements/specs for almost 20 yrs and was so burned out it took a year for the fog to lift after I retired at 55 in 2017. Am brand new to fediverse, looking to absorb. Not a dev, I like to learn new things. We have much in common (social justice, music, Gen Z, travel). I look forward to connecting.

       Thanks for the kind words! The dream is to live and work full-time in my RV and basically travel all up and down the Rockies.That's the dream at least. ;-)
