       I’m sad that most of you are on vanilla Mastodon, and will never see my posts as I intended, with markdown formatting.(There are enough of you on Pleroma/Misskey/glitch-soc that I’ll keep using Markdown.)

       Context:if you're on a Pleroma server, a Misskey server, or a Glitch-Soc Mastodon server, "markdown formatting" should be bold. (left image)If you're on a vanilla Mastodon server, it won't be (bottom-right image).

       @HenkPoley Even Pleroma/Glitch-Soc/Misskey filters out all HTML except the HTML tags used by basic Markdown. This isn't Cohost with its CSS crimes. I guess one can instead attach diagrams as an image.
