What type of rice do you use 1:1 rice:water for?White is almost always ~1.25 (1.5 for basmati etc) and the slower cooking ones/brown/red/purple etc are like ~1.75. And you're soaking/washing your rice first right? You can also get it to do an easy and decent risotto if you do the soak in boiling water, if that's your thing.

My social groups were less skater, and more general mosher/alt. We'd hop fences into abandoned hospitals/factories to drink in there etc, someone would usually ended up burning something intentionally or otherwise and we'd all have to fucking bail. Then we'd meet back up in the evening and get started on in the city. Some of us did a bit of parkour for a while, nothing that impressive but we did manage to get on one of the rooftops for the local cathedral. Didn't take long for the cops on that one lol.

Between the chance of seawater intruding from the bottom of the pit and harbor patrol chasing us, it was a pretty fun time. The coolest thing is that high school kids and young adults would mix at these beach parties, and the ones who had ID would swarm the harbor patrol, insisting on showing their ID, while the ones who didn't have ID ran off into the darkness. The city finally ended it by changing the parking laws around the beach and ticketing all the vehicles left there after dark ;_;

Beach fires were fun, did some at uni. Coastal student town, they kind of expected students to wander off and have fires. If we stuck to the side beach, rather than the touristy one, they didn't really give a fuck. Had to gather firewood from the student town though, as the wood that washed up burned like ass from all the salt. I remember more than once people would be asking each other if something was on fire, because we'd smoked ourselves out lmao.Sucks about them changing the rules just because you guys were having fun wrong, but nice that you brought the community together. Our lot were a lot more fractured than that, we'd pretty much all just bail every man for ourselves. A few of us would help carry the paralytic and/or our close friends, usually it'd just be the big guys carry the heavy shit though and we all meet back up if we got away with it haha
