       @seanking No, I don't think he's trying to say that it's illegal - just that people who he hopes will throw money at Twitter desperately wish that it were illegal.All that it really means is that the parodists will go elsewhere, where he has 0 control, and makes 0 money from it.  He's throwing money away in one direction, in the fond hope that it will make him money from another direction.Good luck with that, Elon.

       @seanking I think that he's stripping people and departments in the hopes that it will be better able to financially weather the storm.On the other hand, I think that he may just really mean it - all legal speech.  The reason is, if you actually look at the guy's past, he spent his formative years in an actual, real-life, no-fooling, out-and-proud fascist society complete with incestuous relationships with churches, dirigiste economic policies, corporatist attitudes to morality and individual rights and so on.  He hated it.  I think he actually is a free speech adherent, and really means it.  The right-thinking denizens of Twitter wanted no such thing, and now it's hollowing out their userbase.
