So the "Movies & TV" app has an edit button that just takes you to the "Photos" app. While this new "Media Player" app just has a button to launch this Clipchamp shit, which requires you to log in. 🙄 They also made the Photos app harder to use. It opens videos muted by default, and it takes TWO clicks to unmute it. 🤦♂️

aand i just crashed Photos trying to trim a video. I selected 30 seconds worth but it would only play back a fraction of a second, then it crashed. buggy ass shit

@lamp@mastodong.lol microsoft momentthat's whyphotos is for media that you make, movies & tv is made for buying movies from the microsoft store, and windows media player is for compatiblity, explorer still uses it for previews.

@jessica windows 11 seems to be a nice concept of getting windows' shit together; the new design looks nice, but there have been some usability regressions which have been a little frustrating.

@lamp@mastodong.lol I purchaced startallback to get back the old windows taskbar in a way that doesn't look hackyI have the start menu it uses replaced because the new one is actually pretty good with some tweaks to get it to stop searching the web, and enabling enhanced indexing so it knows where everything is.
