       I wonder how long until someone develops a git-hosting/dev collaboration platform on the #fediverse. I'd really love a GitHub alternative.

       @brandont You should look into #ForgeFed which is bringing #Gitea into the #fediverse with #ActivityPub. @a has done some work on it.

       @brandont Good point. But it does support webhooks and you can also mirror to other places such as other Gitea, Bitbucket, GitLab and GH.

       @mentor Yeah for sure. I think being a part of the Fediverse itself requires the ActivityPub protocol, though. I'd like to see a collaboration and git-hosting platform that I can follow repositories and developers from my Mastodon account.

       @brandont gotcha I imagine emitting events for that purpose would likely be a lot easier to implement than write back. You’re looking for ChatOps with a different protocol (ie. Not posting into [slack] but ActivityPub?). Maybe we should crowd fund the Wordpress plug-in author to look into it? 😂

       @james @a Sick. I did see Giteas plans to implement ActivityPub, I think it'll be pretty sweet.
