I follow 333 people, it is literally impossible to follow my feed, that's kind of impressive. I follow 450 people on twitter (incl. news aggregators !!) and my feed is not nearly so busy.

The other thing is like the # of people following me is small, but every time I post something I get a ton of conversation happening, I have "600 followers" on twitter and rarely post because nobody replies.

There are actual conversations happening (even hell threads). It’s not a sea of people waiting for a celeb to post so they can game likes. Metrics don’t mean much here, in a good way.

it is literally impossible to follow my feedHonestly I think this is where an algorithm other than chronological is worthwhile. As long as it’s transparent and optional, I think their harm is overstated.

@cjd I guess this is because there’s no algorithm controlling what posts you actually see. You get it all.One reason why it makes sense to be selective on who you follow because you can always use the Local, Global, # and search features to view everything else.
