If you still have a #Twitter account, delete your DMs and stop using them for private communication. Do not give Twitter any financial information. Add 2FA to your account (which you should always do everywhere). This is not the time for playing around.Twitter’s most senior cybersecurity staffer, Lea Kissner, has now quit along with several key senior staff members. Elon is taking huge risks, putting people at immediate risk of identity theft, leaked DMs, and other data leaks/surveillance.

My habit has been to regularly delete older tweets and to not use Twitter DMs for anything I wouldn’t say out loud, but many people default to trusting the platforms they use, which puts them in legitimate danger. When it comes to social media platforms, trust nothing. Remain mindful and protect yourself.

IMPORTANT: Keep your Twitter account even if you’re inactive. DO NOT GIVE UP CONTROL OF YOUR TWITTER HANDLE. If you don’t control the login, your handle will be up for grabs for any imposter to use.

FYI: 2FA stands for two-factor authentication, which is when you log into a site and it asks for an extra code from an email, your phone, or an authentication app. It's an extra layer of security to make it a bit harder for your account to be hacked into.

@schmutzie They/them? Nah, it'll be was/were after you get tossed off of the local building. Do us all a favor and leave before you inevitably kill yourself.
