@leo I’m usually pessimistic about these types of shifts, but I think even in a worse case scenario Mastodon comes out of this flurry of activity with much stronger network effects and increased support in the developer ecosystem

@leo Thanks, I had already joined Mastodon but then when searching for you & other twit people to follow I thought what the heck I like the community and wanted the local timeline also so I joined your server as well. I’m still new to Mastodon but this seems like it must be common since all the clients I have seen have good support for multi-users. Thank you for keeping up such a great community and content.

@leo I never got into using Twitter because from the beginning it seemed to be exactly what people are saying it is now. So far, Mastodon looks to be what I hoped Twitter would be. @leo really enjoyed yesterday’s TWiG. Not so much the yelling, but the fact that people who had strongly held opinions were swayed by the opinions of others. That’s how a good discussion and debate work. This is an interesting point in history. We have a chance to ditch one way that has become corrupted and support a new way that has positive potential, especially for users over owners.
