Do Qi wireless charger keep the phone at full charge once it's fully recharged or stop and let the battery slowly drain again? 🤔

@Natanox I think that's more down to the phone. It can choose to take charge or not. My Pixel "smart charges" in that it charges at just the right rate so it is full 5 minutes before my alarm goes off.On weekends it just charges normally. It's always at 100% when I take it off the charger.

@Jlfphoto In the end I really want it to always stay on the charger. It's supposed to be an Octoprint server (3D printer software) as well as a offside data backup for a friend, so always stationary. It just refuses to properly charge with a cable most of the time, and it doesn't seem to be the battery.Hope it's smart enough to just... stay charged. ðŸ¤

@Natanox @Jlfphoto I've been experimenting with QI chargers as can be seen in a few pics of my desk-from what I've read on IEEE, it hasn't been recommended to do anything like increase amperage. But that wont stop me from trying to find a more efficient Qi solution.

@lucifargundam @Jlfphoto It's not like I would want to do so. The S10 can theoretically charge with 15W, even under full load that's more than enough.

@Natanox @Jlfphoto what about experimenting with QI surfaces? In one of my fantasies, I own a cyberpunkish bar with interactive screens inlaid under thick transparent counters that also charge customers phones when they put them down.of coarse, there's a lot of engineering that has to get figured out- but I haven't had the time to fiddle with such fancies that will never come to be anyway.

@lucifargundam @Jlfphoto A system like that already exists and gets implemented in modern phones. It charges them through stations on the ceiling and strong lasers.

@Natanox @Jlfphoto I've never seen them in person. Thanks for mentioning it. So far as I have read- it's only in experimental phase.
