       @stephenfry I want to call it Masto too. Is this an Anglo thing, preferring two syllable nick names? On the continent they seem to prefer three syllables.

       @stephenfry It's called the "Fediverse", not the "Mastosphere". Mastodon is not the only server implementation that talks ActivityPub, the Mastodon inter-instance federation protocol. Pleroma is another popular one, and there are others.https://docs.joinmastodon.org
