@izaya mastodon users really just take one (1) look at poast [or a similar instance] and write off the whole software, huh

@starshine good old combination of clout-chasing and representing a an effect as the causeoh well if someone will write me off for not wanting to spend $15/mo on running a fedi instance for myself they probably aren't very nice anyway

@izaya@social.shadowkat.net @starshine@woem.space I mean, Pleroma's "reputation" is part of the reason for which I used Honk; it was only Honk not supporting Mastodon's "authorized fetch" that pushed me to Misskey.

@izaya@social.shadowkat.net @starshine@woem.space I wish I could have kept Honk. Its design choices would probably make the kind of person who judges people by fediverse software just stare and go "what" upon encountering it.

@asie @izaya i feel like those kinds of people would also judge you for using honk, tbh, in a “if i don’t recognise it, it’s probably bad” kind of way

@asie @izaya @starshine Interestingly I miss one thing in Misskey because of which I am currently trying out a Pleroma instance: it has no good Android apps.Change my mind please :) Subway Tooter and Milktea kinda were OK but crashed all the time, and otherwise I found no Misskey app that worked at all.

@divVerent @asie @izaya those are the only two we know of, sadly :pensivepeace:(but subway tooter never crashed on us, though it is very janky)i think that most people who use misskey just use the web client as a PWAwe were actually working on our own client, but that’s kinda on the backburner because. we’re not using misskey right now zbxmzvbmzxbvzcxv

@starshine @divVerent @asie @izaya ST never crashes on me either. it works fine for mastodon and pleroma, but i'm guessing with misskey you're running into the weird threading it does? i don't like that either

@opal @divVerent @asie @izaya we were using it with misskey, no issues on the client side (plenty of server issues, but those happened on the web client too)

@starshine @opal @asie @izaya Thanks - I am giving ST another chance then. It quite certainly has all the _features_ I want :)
