Beginner's question: I am writing a thread that will use LaTeX. How do we preview the LaTeX portions to make sure we haven't made a mistake before we post? I am writing my thread before I paste it here using a text editor. Thanks.

@MartinEscardo - since the other solutions suggested are not extremely easy or fun, you might do what I do: write the toot, post it, look at it, and then click on the three dots below the toot and choose "Delete & redraft" if you want to fix mistakes. I often do this repeatedly.

@johncarlosbaez @MartinEscardo But you have to be quick, otherwise you destroy the thread if someone replied in the meantime.

@6d03 - right, but so far nobody has responded to my toots in less than one minute.

@johncarlosbaez @6d03 Seriously though... Cory Doctrow (the author) has mastered the thread somehow on fediverse.
