       @Jason there are heaps of industries which have still not made the move to providing services digitally. Government, health tech and legal tech all come to mind, based on my experience working in the UK. They have so much to gain from investing in digital services and improving user experiences. These are relatively new territories for UX design and so design is still very much evolving there.

       @chriswood I hope so, but I’m skeptical. What I see happening instead is an industry adapting UX patterns from “established” industries and shoehorning it into their own industry needs. The products never quite work as effectively. This is especially true in cases (like medical and government) where all of the budget goes to Dev who then create the UX using standardized patterns.I see products all the time that look as if the Devs simply took bootstrap and never even talked to a designer.
