       💔 really hurts to lose my friend that I've been talking to just about every day for 4-5 years, over politics. I had honestly thought of him as the only person who gets me. the worst part was explicitly telling him I don't care if we have different politics, I respect his opinion, care about him, and will talk anything through with him, but he wouldn't engage in a real convo and instead accused me of planning political violence (absolutely not true) and wanting to exterminate anyone who disagrees. (also not true.) he said if I was punched in the face I would understand "real action". and I wasn't cool with being accused or talked to like that so I cut off contact. and then he accused me of playing victim. I miss him so much and I almost want to reach back out to apologize but I don't know anyone who would be okay with being talked to that way and I would never talk to anyone I cared about that way. If he actually had concerns about my views I would have discussed with him but not just been insulted and accused without him even showing any interest in my side.

       @cute_cool_nice That’s terrible. I’m so sorry. I wish I had more comforting words.If you love someone you just don’t snarl at them like that. And if you do, you make it right. In my relationship it’s a priority to be considerate, including when I’m upset, because my boyfriend and the bond we have are more important than any temporary emotions or argument. You deserve friends who treat you like this.
