       as more businesses, institutions and organizations join fedi, im thinking some form of verification *would* be useful. iirc mastodon had something with rel=me? Does that not show in profiles? or maybe they just don't know it exists

       @piggo to be frank, I think that for businesses and institutions it would be best to host their own instances, and then verification is a simple matter of what instance the account is on

       @deshipu indeed so but not everyone has the technical skill to do it, if you don't count stuff like masto_host - if it still exists (and then you still have to buy the domain)
