There is a paucity of musicians here in the Fediverse! Well, let's change that. During the pandemic, I began learning synth and keyboard. Before this, I played guitar (and picked it up again in 2019 after twelve years of not playing, where hundreds of goofy and angsty songs began pouring out of me). Now I compose on the side. Three podcast themes (including my Lalo Schifrin-inspired theme for "The Sonic Society") and a Western soundtrack. #musician #music #composer #synth #guitar

@edwardchampion I usually find FunkWhale disappointing, but you could give it a shot and maybe help improve it with helpful suggestions, etc..

@john I haven't tried Funkwhake and only just learned of it. But it looks like this is an open-source answer to Spotify that isn't so propietary?

@edwardchampion Something like that. I've never used Spotify, so I can't speak to that as much. Maybe more in the vein of BandCamp? The code for FW is freely available, redistributable, and modifiable, so in that sense not proprietary at all.https://github.com/macmattes/funkwhale
