Anyway, Kent's campaign manager sat next to me at a recent debate hosted by OPB. At one point, he got up and left this book to save his seat. It's by the founder of the "Constitutional Sheriffs" movement, who is also a director of the Oath Keepers.

The general idea behind constitutional sheriffs is that the county sheriff is the highest "law of the land"—even above state and federal government authorities. It's rooted in the Posse Comitatus movement, which helped spawn the modern anti-government militia movement.
