If you’re trans though, I advise caution with how much attention you pay to transphobes. Making you feel tired, scared, and/or overwhelmed is the point of what they do, as is getting their voices amplified to make it seem like they’re more than a tiny minority of people. Trans joy is the best weapon against them and doomscrolling is the death of joy

Another thing to be careful of, especially if you’re dealing with internalised transphobia, is that paying too much attention to transphobes can be a form of self harm. Take care of yourself and beware of feeding your self-hated under the guise of activism

@ghost_bird I really hope the screenshot dunking culture of trans Twitter doesn't migrate here. I swear half of why I find Twitter stressful is other trans people unnecessarily platforming transphobia. It's like, "Omg look how absolutely awful this person with a number name and 60 followers is being, let's make sure thousands of trans people see this example of drive-by hatred". It's like... Why? What does this accomplish? We're all very sorry that happened, but...

@ghost_bird You can BlockTogether, you can Block Party, you can Transphobe Blocklist, you can do all manner of things to hide transphobia generated by transphobes, but it's so much harder when it's people you follow from your own community are sharing it.
